The brilliance of this book is that it has 18 expert contributors . Each contributor has written at least one in-depth and thoroughly researched essay.I like the fact that a fair amount of personal research has been carried out by the contributors - whether by personal interview or time spent within rastafari communities. I like how the book encapsulates rastafari from a multitude of perspectives -cultural, ideological, religious, political etc - from the early days right through to contemporary times.I imagine this book would be an invaluable guide to anyone involved in the study of Rastafarianism.I highly recommed this book if you have an interest in the subject of Rastafarianism, or if you have an academic involvement. Essential!!
